Tomorrow, Saturday, the General Authority for Health Care will launch its free campaign to conduct an early examination of cervical cancer at the Ismailia Medical Complex of the Health Care Authority, in cooperation with the Egyptian Society of Cervical Endoscopy and Abnormal Cells.
The opening of the free campaign will be witnessed by Dr. Mohamed El-Azab, President of the Egyptian Society of Cervical Endoscopy, Dr. Rania Elwany, Executive Director of the Society, Dr. Mohamed El-Akkad, General Director of Therapeutics at the Health Care Authority, Dr. Adel Hassan, Director of the Medical Complex and members of the Egyptian Society of Cervical Endoscopy.
The campaign called on Ismailia women to attend and conduct an examination, especially since the campaign is not limited to early detection, prevention and protection from cervical cancer, but rather cases that show symptoms will be referred to a specialist doctor to treat the affected cases until recovery.
The campaign aims to screen 1.1 million women who benefit from comprehensive health insurance for early detection of cancerous tumors within all governorates of the first phase of the comprehensive health insurance system, which includes the governorates of “Port Said, Ismailia, Luxor, South Sinai, Suez, and Aswan.”
